Audrey Phelps Hall

Audrey Phelps Hall, 94, of Charlotte Court House, VA, was called to her heavenly home by our Lord and Savior on May 4, 2022.  She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.

Audrey was born on September 29, 1927, daughter of the late Leo and Madeline Phelps of Maryland.

Audrey was proceeded in death by her beloved husband of 78 years, William Calvin Hall, Sr. She was also proceeded in death by her parents, two sisters, and a brother.

She is survived by her loving and loyal children, daughters, Betty V. Walker (Larry), Lorraine Sigrist Mansius, Faye Pugh (Travis) and Virginia Sweeney and her one and only son, William Calvin “Bubby” Hall, Jr. (Peggy). In addition to her children, she is survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and twenty-two great-great-grandchildren with two more expected in July.

Audrey was a loyal and dedicated employee of A.P.W.U. of Maryland, retiring with 20 years of service.   She was a kind and compassionate woman.  She enjoyed sewing, reading, gospel music, and spending time with her family.

Audrey was a faithful and loving mother, devoted wife and a devoted Christian that was greatly loved by all who knew her.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Phenix, VA, with the Reverend Donald Smith officiating.   A public viewing will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, Keysville, VA, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
