Averette Daniel Amos, Jr., “Mountain Dew”, age 70, of Keysville, VA, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Amos; five children, Michelle Vereen (William), Stacy Gangloff, Patricia Reamer (Tommy), Eddie Gangloff, Ronnie Amos (Sherry); fifteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Amos (Pam), Joe Amos (Sandy); his step-mother, Elizabeth Amos; three step-brothers, Roy Hawkins (Rhonda), Dave Hawkins (Janice), Paul Hawkins (Wendy); one step-sister, Betty Fowler (John); and numerous nieces and nephews. Averette was preceded in death by his parents Averette D. and Dorothy W. Amos; one step-brother, Dean Hawkins and his sister-in-law, Betty Jean Hawkins.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2018, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, with interment to follow in Cool Springs Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville on Thursday, April 5, 2018, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
