Betty Moore Perkins

Betty Moore Perkins, 88, passed away on June 11, 2020 at Southside Community Hospital. She was born on June 3 ^rd , 1932 in Sevierville, Tennessee. Betty was the daughter of the late Luther Moore and Eliza Eggleston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas T. Perkins, sisters, Ruth Reese, Jean Matthews, and brother, James Moore. Betty is survived by her three children, Janet Card (Glenn), Tommy Perkins (Nora), and Frankie McAbee (Ernie). She was lovingly known as “Granny” to her eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Betty is also survived by one sister, Velma Webb.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Prospect United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Prince Edward County Volunteer Rescue Squad. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is serving the family.
