Betty Olivia Duffie

Betty Olivia Duffie, age 61, of Saxe, VA, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Glenn and Nancy Beacham Modlin.

Betty  is survived by her husband, William “Watt” Duffer; one daughter, Tasha Marie Vaughan and her husband Dougie; one son, Alfred Williams Jr.; two step-sons, William Duffie Jr., Steve Duffie and his wife, Amber; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Glenn Modlin and his wife, Debbie; two sisters, Mary Jane Stone and her husband Sidney, Brenda Bradshaw and her husband, Joe.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Duffer Family Cemetery, 2671 Country Road, Saxe, VA 23967.  The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
