Billy Lee Dempsey, Sr.

Mr. Billy Lee Dempsey, Sr., age 93, of Meherrin, Virginia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 18, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Dempsey was born on December 25, 1928, in West Virginia, to the late George Dempsey and Sally Farley Dempsey.
Mr. Dempsey bravely served his country in the United States Marines. He was known to everyone as a hardworking man whose memory will continue to live on forever.
Mr. Dempsey is survived by his children, Mickey, Cathy, and Theresa Dempsey; stepchildren, Steve, Debbie, and Sammie; as well as numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Dempsey was predeceased by his first wife, Mattie James Dempsey; second wife, Freida Brown; children, Billy (Jr.) and Lindell Dempsey, and stepchildren, Diane, Jackie, and Joney.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
