Charles Herbert Bowman

Charles Herbert Bowman, age 78, of Victoria, VA, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012. He was a member of the Victoria Country Club of Victoria, VA. Herb was loved and respected by many.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Price Bowman of Victoria, VA; sons, Charles “Chuck” Bowman of Meherrin, VA, Scott Bowman and his wife, Susan of New Jersey, Daniel Bowman and his wife, Wendy of Yardley, PA; and their mother, Jacqueline Bowman; step-children, Jennifer West of Chase City, VA, Jeffrey LaParade of North Dakota, Magellen Moss and her husband, Sean of Chase City, VA; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; a sister, Ellen Carroll; a sister-in-law, Gloria Bowman; and lots of sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Bowman; and a brother, Bobby Ray Bowman.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 18, 2012, in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 73 Meherrin River Road, Chase City, VA. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Hospice of Virginia. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
