Charles Houston Mitchell, Sr.

Mr. Charles Houston Mitchell, Sr, age 79, of Charlotte Court House, Virginia, passed on April 18, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Mitchell was born on November 23, 1942, in Virginia, to the late Howard Bass Mitchell, Sr. and Eleanor Hawkins Mitchell.

Mr. Mitchell worked as a contractor in the building industry for many years and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Ann Mitchell; sons, Charles Mitchell, Jr. (Mona), Jeffrey Mitchell (Theresa), Timothy Mitchell (Dana), Jerome Mitchell, and Toby Mitchell. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, three sisters, and one brother.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mitchell was predeceased by his son, Barry Mitchell; as well as seven brothers and one sister.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, April 22, 2022 at 11AM at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church with Reverend Dewey Barker officiating.
