Charles Raine Arvin

Charles Raine Arvin, 94, of Meherrin, VA, died November 26, 2018.  He was the son of Aubrey Bayne and Julia Harvey Arvin.  He is survived by his bride of 68 years, Dorothy Robertson Arvin; two children, Dorothy Arvin Newcomb (Billy) and Charles Harvey Arvin (Stephanie); Grandchildren, Amy McClure (Corey), Julia Bennett (Scott), William Newcomb (Audrey), Thomas Arvin (Annie), and Christopher Arvin; Great-grandchildren Aubrey and Ally McClure; Levi, Miles, and Cooper Bennett; Colby and Poppi Newcomb.  Charles honorably served his country during WWII in the 29 ^th Infantry where he received two Purple Hearts.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 29, at 11a.m. at Ledbetter Christian Church, 4346 Double Bridges Rd, Meherrin, VA, with interment following in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Lunenburg Health Services, Inc., P.O.
