Clyde Perry Newcomb

Clyde Perry Newcomb, age 79, of Saxe, VA, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy F. Newcomb; two daughters, Janet K. Newcomb of Saxe, VA, and Kay N. Moore and husband Mike of Chase City, VA; one son, Carlton N. Newcomb Sr., and wife April of Flowery Branch, GA; two granddaughters, Amy and Tina Moore of Chase City, VA; two grandsons, Christopher Newcomb of Cherry Point, N. C., and Carlton Neil Newcomb Jr., and wife Amy of Acworth, GA; two brothers, Harvey Newcomb and wife Fannie of Charlotte C. H. VA, Clifton Newcomb and wife Frances of Chase City, VA; three sisters, Thelma Bailey of Chase City, VA, Audrey Bailey of Wylliesburg, VA, and Lillian Card of Chase City, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2014, in the Lebanon United Methodist Church, Drakes Branch, VA, interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lebanon United Methodist Church Building Fund. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
