Daniel “Dan” Dixon Jackson

Daniel “Dan” Dixon Jackson, age 79, of Wylliesburg, VA, went to his heavenly home peacefully on Monday, May 23, 2016. He was born in Chase City, VA, on January 13, 1937. Dan proudly served his community with a career in law enforcement. He also joined and served as a Masonic member for many years, having received his fifty year recognition in 2012. He is survived by two daughters, Patricia McPeters Gary, Christy Lee Freddie; one sister, Fran Seamster Page; one brother, Arthur Jackson Kathy; two grandsons, Daniel and Derek Lee; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his loving wife of forty years, Nancy Phillips Jackson; his father, Paul Duro Jackson; and his mother, Estelle Dixon Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2016, in the Wylliesburg Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Wylliesburg, VA. In lieu of flowers please consider Wylliesburg Presbyterian Church. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is serving the family.
