Delores Jean Partin

Delores Jean Clark Reed Coryell Partin, 76, of Meherrin, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord at The Woodland in Farmville, VA, at 10:20 am on December 30, 2011 after a valiant battle with breast cancer.  She is survived by David Partin, her husband of 10 years.  She is also survived by her children Deborah Fitch John, Donna Duckett, David Reed Joane, Diane Palacios Nelson, Dawn Schumaker Darryl and Dwayne Coryell Julia, and her brothers Roy Clark Barbara, Dwight Clark and sister Susan Coryell Cliff, 5 stepchildren, 17 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and second husband Wayne Coryell.  She was preceded in death by her parents Hester and Lillian Clark, her brother Richard Clark and sister-in-law Betty Clark, son Dwight Reed, nephew Alan Coryell and first husband Albert Reed.  The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home, in Keysville, VA, on Monday, January 2, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 3, at the Meherrin Baptist Church at 11:00 am with interment in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in her name. The family would like to thank the staff at The Woodland in Farmville and Dr. Schunn and staff at the Virginia Cancer Institute at the Thomas Johns Cancer Hospital in Richmond, VA for their care and compassion.
