Doris Langford Newcomb

Doris Langford Newcomb, age 90, of Chase City, VA formerly from Keysville, VA, passed away on January 29, 2024.  She was the daughter of the late, William H. and Ruth H. Langford.  Doris was preceded in death by her brothers, James Langford, Charles Langford and Robert Langford; and her daughter-in-law, Barbara Newcomb.

She is survived by her son, Doug Newcomb (Jennifer), daughter, Sharon Propst (Crawford); grandchildren, Allison Thomas (Bryan), and Loren Propst (Sheldon); and two great grandchildren, Baylee Thomas and Brynlee Thomas. Doris retired from Burlington Industries.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Oakland Cemetery, 1200 Green Level Road, Scottsburg, VA. The family will receive friends after the funeral service at 1024 Wolf Trap Road, South Boston, VA. 24592.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville is in charge of arrangements.
