Douglas M. “Turkey” Featherston

Douglas M. “Turkey” Featherston, age 78, of Amelia Court House, VA, passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2023.

Douglas is survived by his wife Norma P. Featherston; two daughters, Sherry Riley and Teresa Carwile (Michael); two grandchildren, Brent Carwile and Amanda Carwile; one sister Ruth Harrup (Billy).

He was a dedicated family man, who loved spending time with his grandchildren and hunting with family in Drakes Branch where he was a lifetime member of Timberwolf Hunt Club.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Lebanon Methodist Church Cemetery, Drakes Branch, VA. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville is in charge of arrangements.
