Edna May Guill Roark

Edna May Guill Roark, age 77, of Drakes Branch, VA passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021. She was preceded in death by her son, Duke Roark; three brothers, Clyde Guill, Harry Guill, and Charles Guill; two brothers-in-law, Shirley Vaughan and Carl Medley; three sisters, Nancy Adkins, Lucille Medley, and Helen Guill; and two sisters-in-law, Linda Guill and Maggie Guill.

Edna is survived by two children, Donna Roark and Wayne Roark; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; one brother, Sam Guill (Anne); one sister, Evelyn Vaughan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edna worked hard all her life. She loved everyone unconditionally and had a heart of pure gold.  The children in her life meant everything to her.  Her hobbies were cooking, dancing, and caring for those she loved.  She was affectionately known to all as Nanny.  There will never be another like her on this earth.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is serving the family.
