Emily Waddell Nelson

On Saturday, November 23, 2019, God called one of his children home, Emily Waddell Nelson age 84, of Keysville, VA. She was born and raised in Meherrin, VA.  Emily was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Louis H. Nelson; and her son, Darrel L. Nelson.  Emily leaves to cherish her memory three children, Joseph L. Nelson of Keysville, VA; Emily D. Dunn (Donnie) of Herndon, VA, and Amanda N. Rodriguez (Enrique) of Keysville, VA; six grandchildren, Collin Dunn, Stephanie Nelson Ingram, Mikaela Nelson, Sara Rodriguez, Gabriel Vázquez, and Indiya Vázquez; four great-grandchildren, Rayna Emily Holt, Alayna Jolene Holt, Aubrey Ingram, and Bryce Ingram.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at Mount Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery, Keysville. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville on Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, Virginia is in charge of the arrangements.
