Gordon Tennyson Passmore

Gordon Tennyson Passmore, age 91, of Keysville, VA, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2019. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Reeves Passmore, his parents, George Gordon and Virginia Elizabeth Passmore; his sister, Virginia Hardy Passmore.

Gordon is survived by his daughter, Peggy Burroughs and husband, Ronnie. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict in the 306 ^th Field Hospital.  Gordon was a retired tobacco farmer and a carpenter. He was a lifelong member of Ledbetter Christian Church. Gordon loved bluegrass music and his granddog “Red”.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a. m., Thursday, October 10, 2019, in Ledbetter Christian Church, Meherrin, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ledbetter Christian Church, c/o Dotty Newcomb, 326 6 ^th Avenue, Kenbridge, VA 23944, or the Charlotte County Rescue Squad, P O Box 330, Keysville, VA 23947.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is serving the family.
