Grace Inge Dix

Grace Inge Dix, age 79, of Keysville, VA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 13, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph N. and Ruth Lacks Inge; her husband, James Harold Dix, Sr.

Grace is survived by two sons, James “Jimmie” H. Dix, Jr., and Joseph “Joey” Dix and wife, Heather; six grandchildren, Heather Lawrence and husband, Antonio, Chris Ashworth and wife, Jazmine, Nantessa Troop and husband, Rob, Lily White, Brittany Ortiz, and Joshua Easter; eight great-grandchildren, Rayshon Lawrence, Charlotte Ashworth, Melody Troop, Sally Troop, Titan Ortiz, Josephine Ortiz, Snow Ortiz, and Evan Ortiz; one sister, Shirley Dunaway; three brothers, Jerry Inge and wife, Pat, Jimmy Inge and wife, Rhonda, Randy Inge and wife, Teresa; a special sister-in-law, Betty Inge; and special friend, Joanne Bruce.

The family  would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude for the care that James River Hospice rendered to our mother during her time under hospice care.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Friendship Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, VA with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service, and all other times at the home of Joey and Heather Dix, 1880 Juniper Creek Drive, Keysville, VA 23947. A reception will follow the funeral service in the church fellowship hall.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 239 Friendship Church Road, Drakes Branch, VA 23937, or to the SPCA, P O Box 66, Meherrin, VA 23954. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
