James Edward Stanley, Sr.

James Edward Stanley, Sr., age 84, of Charlotte Court House, VA died December 3, 2016. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary R. Stanley. Ed is survived by a daughter, Mary Helen Freeze; a son, James Edward Stanley, Jr.; three grandchildren, Gina Newcomb, Jennifer Freeze and Brian Freeze; and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in the Mt. Harmony United Methodist Church, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2016. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of the arrangements
