James Garland “Oz” Osborne

James Garland “Oz” Osborne, 82, of Wylliesburg, VA, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Lillian B. Osborne; children, Joyce V. Averette (Wayne), Robert E. Vaughan (Wanda), and Anita B. Campbell; three grandchildren, Anna Rutledge (David), Rebecca Watts (Derek), and Brandy Campbell; three great-grandchildren, Chelsea, Kaylin, and Cody.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Garland was truly known for his generosity, smile, kindness, and love for his family and friends.  He was a member of the Bacon District Volunteer Fire Department, Woodmen of the World, a farmer, a cattleman, and numerous achievements made throughout his lifetime.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Hebron United Methodist Church, with interment to follow in the Moore Family Cemetery, Wylliesburg. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
