Jenny Elaine Keller, age 65, of Richmond, Virginia passed away July 27, 2024. Jenny was a native of Charlotte County, Virginia, graduating Randolph-Henry High School in 1976 where she was a proud member of the Drama Club, Band, and Majorettes. After High School, Jenny enjoyed a long career in the medical field where she was a phlebotomist, x-ray technician, and marketing specialist, finally retiring as Vice President of Open MRI of Southern Virginia. Even after retiring, Jenny devoted her time to assisting aging family and friends, helping them navigate medical treatments and doctor’s appointments. Though her career was in medical, her passion and the fun side of her came through in her artwork and love for dance, particularly disco. Shortly before she passed, she recited parts of John 14:2, “In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, I would have told you”, and added that she wanted to go to the “Disco Room”. Jenny will be remembered for her strength, quick wit, straight shooting personality, formidable laugh, long skinny legs, million-dollar smile, and effortless style.
Jenny was the daughter of the late Lawrence Keller and Ann Goodroe, and granddaughter of the late Adis and Naomi Philbeck, and Jackson and Texie Keller. She is survived by her partner, Rex Carroll; daughter, Megan Samford; grandchildren, Naomi VanSchalkwijk, and John-Logan Samford; brother, Bobby Keller and wife, Wendy; nieces, Kathy-Lee, Kristen, and Katie Keller; aunts, Peggy Haley and Jean Hunter; Uncle, Larry Philbeck, and wife, Helen, along with numerous beloved cousins.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2024, in Eureka Baptist Church Cemetery, Keysville. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
