Jesse Giles Dunaway

Jesse Giles Dunaway, age 82, of Keysville, VA, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Thursday, October 17, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Nannie Dunaway; three sisters, Betty Harris, Ruby Trammell, and Connie Francis; two brothers, Morrell Dunaway and Daniel Dunaway.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Dorothy L. Dunaway; a son, Ronnie Dunaway and his wife, Teresa; a daughter, Peggy Brown Witt and her husband, Jason; three grandchildren, Jeremy Dunaway, Wendy Tucker and her husband, Chris, and Olivia Witt Pettry and her husband, Tyler; four great-grandchildren, Chastity Dunaway, Caleb Tucker, Camden “Fred” Tucker, and Samantha Ryleigh Pettry; one brother, Mack Dunaway; and two sisters, Inez Jones and Cora Langford.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Friendship Baptist Church, Drakes Branch, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. A reception will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is serving the family.
