Lewis Edward Wilkerson Sr.

Lewis Edward Wilkerson, Sr., age 81, of Keysville, VA, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Schumann Wilkerson; three brothers, and three sisters.

Lewis is survived by five children, Patricia W. Barton, Cynthia W. Dixon (Bobby), Jeanne W. Roark (Andy), Lewis E. Wilkerson, Jr. (Dawn), and Roland J. Wilkerson (Stacey); six grandchildren, Andy Barton, Medina Trent, Robert Dixon, Billy Wayne Barton, Ryan Barton, and Brian Barton; thirteen precious loving great-grandchildren; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a devoted friend to many. The family wishes to say a special thank you to his loyal and faithful caregivers, Kathy, Lisa, “Q”, Alyssa, and many others.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, with interment to follow in the Meherrin Baptist Church Cemetery, Meherrin. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home on Friday, October 5, 2018, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider contributions to the Charlotte County Rescue Squad, P O Box 330, Keysville, VA 23947.
