Lois Vassar Walker

Lois Vassar Walker, age 95, of Charlotte Court House, Virginia died Tuesday, November 29, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hezzie P. Walker; brother, Basil M. Vassar; sisters, Elizabeth V. Pickett and Edith V. Gentry; and granddaughters, April and Lorianne Gallimore. She is survived by her children, Randolph P. Walker and Marianne W. Thorpe of Charlotte Court House, and Rosemarie W. O’Dell of Richmond; her brother, Reginald L. Vassar of Erie, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2011 in the Concord Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011.
