Loretta "Rita" Waller Williams, age 71, of Keysville, VA, passed away on April 13, 2025, in Appomattox, Virginia. Born on June 27, 1953, in Virginia, Rita lived a life full of passion, devotion, and love.

Throughout her professional career, Rita served as a Respiratory Therapist and Deli Consultant, impacting numerous lives with her knowledge and care. She was dedicated to her work, demonstrating compassion and commitment that left a lasting impression on those she encountered.

A lifelong member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Rita found peace and purpose in her faith. 

Rita had many interests that brought her joy, including nurturing her beautiful gladiolus and tending to her garden. She enjoyed embroidery and calligraphy, showcasing her artistic talents. Additionally, she made significant contributions to her community by serving at The Early Learning Center in Charlotte Court House, where she positively influenced the lives of many children and families.

Above all, Rita's greatest love was her grandson, Aiden “Bean” Byrd Morgan. Their bond was profound, and she treasured every moment spent with him, taking immense pride in his accomplishments and growth.

Rita is survived by her daughter, Cheri Williams Morgan, and husband, Christopher Michael Morgan, both of Appomattox, VA, along with her grandson Aiden. She is also remembered by numerous beloved family members and friends, who will miss her dearly.

A visitation will be held at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church on April 16, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.

Rita’s gentle spirit and kind heart will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
