Margaret Dix Harris

Margaret Dix Harris, age 94, of Chase City, VA, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023.  She was the daughter of the late Alonza and Rosa West Dix.  Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, John “Pat” Patrick Harris; a son, William Patrick Harris; and her beloved dog, Dolly Snowflake Harris.

She is survived by her son, John “Michael” Harris and wife, Donna Marie; two grandsons, Bryan Harris and wife, Sandra, Matthew Harris; and two great-grandchildren, Kourtney Harris and Michael Harris and his fiancée, Alissa.

Margaret resided at 625 Boyd Street Chase City from 1973 until 2015.  She was a member of the Eastern Star Association for over fifty years, worked at Russell Stover Candy Company for over thirty years, and she enjoyed spending time in her flower garden.  She was a dedicated Dale Earnhardt fan.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 9, 2023, in the Cool Spring Christian Church Cemetery Keysville, VA.  The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
