Martha Dix Hammock

Martha D. Hammock, age 89, departed this life on September 22, 2016. She was the oldest daughter of the late T. Malcolm and Helen F. Dix. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-four years, Robert M. Hammock, Jr., and survived by her son, Steven W. Hammock. She was an office clerk at Virginia Crafts in Keysville, VA, for twenty-five years. She was a member of Ledbetter Christian Church where she served as Sunday school treasurer for twenty-five years.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 25, 2016, in Ledbetter Christian Church, Meherrin, VA, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, on Saturday, September 24, 2016, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
