Melissa Styers Hailey

Melissa Ann Styers Hailey, age 77, of Drakes Branch, VA, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011.

She is survived by her loving spouse of 62 years, Pernell J. Hailey; daughters, Sharon Wade Raleigh of Drakes Branch, VA, and Pamela Clapp Bill of Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Christopher Nicole Wade, Kathryn Wade, Brian and Brandon Clapp; great-grandchildren, Zachary, Hannah, and Emily Wade.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2011, in Friendship Baptist Church, 239 Friendship Church Road, Drakes Branch, VA, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Dr. Jerry Jordan officiating Pastor. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friendship Baptist Church or The American Cancer Society. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
