Nina Ocie Tucker Dunn

Nina Ocie Tucker Dunn, age 91, of Saxe, VA went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dunn; a son, Marvin “Butch” Dunn; her parents, William and Nannie Tucker; two brothers, William Tucker and Sam Tucker; a sister, Isabelle Foster. Nina is survived by a son, Kenneth “Boo” Dunn and his wife Miranda; six grandchildren, Wendy Dunn, Mark Dunn Angie, Bryan Dunn, Robin McConahey Struan, April Page Timmy, Craig Dunn Celeste; four great-granddaughters; one great-great-grandson; four sisters, Christine Garnett, Peggy Copal, Frances Hudson, and Callie Tucker. Nina’s loves were her family and friends, daily talks on the phone with friends and she loved when company came to visit. At 91, she still loved to cook.

A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the New Hope United Methodist Church, Randolph, VA, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to New Hope United Methodist Church Building Fund or a charity of your choice.
