Phillip “Phil” Darius Jackson

Phillip “Phil” Darius Jackson age 76, of Drakes Branch, VA passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025, at his home. He was preceded in death by a son, William A. Webb.

Phil is survived by his loving wife, Nany D. Jackson; eight children, Diana Williams (John), Rose Kloc (George), Sandra Hawkins, Cheryl McComb, Michael Timmons, Matthew Timmons, James Timmons, and Joy Butz.

Phil was born on July 1, 1948 in Somerset KY. He graduated from Pulaski County High School. Following graduation Phil served his country in the Unted States Navy as a E9 Master Chief until his retirement. He was a member of the VFW, Habitat for Humanity, and he was currently serving as the Mayor of Drakes Branch. Phil was a friend to all and a stranger to no one. His heart was extra big for all.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Drakes Branch Baptist Church, 4525 Drakes Main Street, Drakes Branch, VA 23937. Reverend Josh Woodcock will be officiating. A potluck dinner will be held following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request that any donations be made to Nancy Jackson.
