“Beloved Husband and Father”
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Randy Scott Hall who was called to be with the Lord while at his home early in the morning of March 10, 2025. He was born on July 7, 1953, to the late Scott Harris and Grace Tharpe Hall. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Vincent Hall, and grandson Gage Scott Hall.
He retired after 35 years of service with the United States Postal Service and will be remembered fondly by the Drakes Branch community as its primary postal carrier during those three and a half decades. He enjoyed tending to his family farm with his mother and father and later his brother, loved playing a round of golf as often as he could and relished spending time with his family, especially his grandkids who called him “Poppy.” He was a lifelong member of Lebanon Church in Drakes Branch
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth D. Hall; his sons, Rick Hall (Nikki) and Mitch Hall (Jessica); his brother, Clint Hall (Sherry); his sister, Lisa Wallace (James); his grandchildren, Gracie Hall (8), Hensley Hall (4), and Coleman Hall (3); his aunt, Nancy Adams; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews too long to list lest we forget someone.
He will affectionately be remembered as a patient, loving, and loyal husband, father, brother and uncle and will surely be missed by everyone whose life he touched.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on March, 13 2025 at Lebanon Church in Drakes Branch, VA with a meal in the Lebanon Fellowship Hall to immediately follow. The family will receive friends at all other times at his home in Drakes Branch. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon Church, P.O. Box 7, Drakes Branch, VA 23937. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
