Richard Samuel Crews

Richard Samuel Crews, age 79, of Meherrin, VA, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014. He is survived by three daughters, Tammy Skipwith and her husband, Craige, Dawn Bowman and her husband, Henry, Margaret Showalter and her husband, Steve; one son, Tony Crews; in addition to his children, he fathered a host of foster children; one brother, Eddie Crews; and three grandchildren, Amanda Dalton, Richard Skipwith, and Abigail Crews.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia B. Crews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014, in the Meherrin Fire Department with interment to follow in the Meherrin Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Meherrin Methodist Church or the Meherrin Volunteer Fire Department.
The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of the arrangements.
