Robert Gerald O’Neill

Mr. Robert Gerald O’Neill, age 86, of Saxe, Virginia, passed on June 6, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. O’Neill was born on March 8, 1936, in New York, to the late Michael James O’Neill and Gladis Nelson O’Neill.

Mr. O’Neill worked at M&M/Mars for many years before retirement. He was also a member of the Drakes Branch Baptist Church. Mr. O’Neill had many talents and hobbies. He could often times be found in the garden, cooking a wonderful meal, enjoying music, watching his favorite old movies, and enjoying the serenity that boating on the water provided. He did quite a bit of fishing and crabbing alongside his outdoor adventures. He always had a joke for everyone. He will forever be remembered as the man who dedicated his life to making others smile.

Mr. O’Neill is survived by his children, Kathleen Broesder and her husband Larry, of Stillwater, New Jersey, Darleen Gero and her husband John, of Warren, New Jersey, and Robert M. O’Neill and his wife Roxeanne of Bayville, New Jersey. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. O’Neill was predeceased by his loving wife, Miriam Lopez O’Neill; and daughters, Colleen G. O’Neill Watson, and Eileen O’Neill Brewer.
