Roberta Speller Wagner

Roberta Speller Wagner, age 93, of Keysville, VA, formerly of Chesapeake South Norfolk, VA, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016.
Roberta was born in Bertie County, NC. She was the widow of Claude G. Wagner. She was preceded in death by her parents,; six brothers; and four sisters.
Roberta is survived by a son, Jack L. Wagner and wife Milani of Elk Grove CA; a daughter, Claudia Lied and husband Gary of Keysville, VA; two granddaughters, Melanie W. deVroede and husband Michael of Whittier, CA, Michele W. Medellin and husband Oscar of Highland, CA; two step-grandchildren, Eric Hemedes and Leslie Hemedes and husband Chris Mott of CA; four great-grandchildren, Isabella and Paolo Medellin, Kyle and Jordan AlRawi all of CA; one sister, Elsie Mobley and husband Leroy of Williamston, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, February 12, 2016, in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Siloam Baptist Church, 1312 Cedar Landing Road, Windsor NC 27983, or Alzheimer’s Foundation, or South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church, 1030, Jackson Avenue, Chesapeake, VA 23324. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
