Samuel Raymond King

Samuel Raymond King, age 77, of Randolph, VA, went to his Heavenly home on Saturday, December 28, 2019. He was born on June 1, 1942, in Charlotte County. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Norma King; and his brother Ronnie King. He is survived by his wife, Mattie Martin King; his daughter Holly Newcomb and her husband, Dean Newcomb; his son Kevin King and his fiancée, Jamie England; two granddaughters, Kristin Fowler and her husband Stephen Fowler, and Kaitlin Newcomb; and two great-grandsons, Brycen Fowler and Braydon Clayton. Raymond was a retired business owner of Raymond’s Grocery in Chase City, Va. He will be greatly missed by all his family who loved him dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, January 2, 2020, at Hebron United Methodist Church, Saxe, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is serving the family.
