Sarah Wallen Hudson

Sarah Wallen Hudson, age 75, of Drakes Branch, VA, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011 at her home. Sarah worked in the textile industries for forty-two years, and was a member of Drakes Branch Presbyterian Church. She was the daughter of the late Claude “Tom” Wallen and Odell Powell Wallen. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Junior Wallen of Red Oak, VA, John Ed Wallen of Richmond, VA, George Wallen of Clarksville, VA, Phillip Wallen of Clarksville, VA; and one sister, Glender Wallen of Richmond, VA; and a grandson, Trevor B. Card of Drakes Branch, VA. She is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, D. Lincoln Hudson; one son, D. Raymond Hudson Wanda; one daughter, Annette H. Card Ronnie; one grandchild, Breanna Card all of Drakes Branch, VA; five sisters, Rosetta McKinney of Buffalo Junction, VA, Ruby Martin of Saxe, VA, Elenor Duffie of South Boston, VA, Odell Langford of Chesterfield County, VA, Ann Wallen of Chesterfield County, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 21, 2011, in Drakes Branch Presbyterian Church in Drakes Branch, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
