Shirley Maxine Anderson

Shirley Maxine Anderson, age 63, of Nathalie, VA, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer. Shirley was born on May 23, 1960, to the late Elmer Maxey Yates and Shirley Temple Yates. She was raised in Saxe, VA and lived in Halifax, VA. Shirley is preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Burton.
She is survived by her son, Thomas (wife); her grandchildren, Jessica Chappell and Alexis Chappell; great-grandchild, Elijah; sisters, Rhonda (Al), Wanda, and Angie (Bobby); nieces Crystal, Nicole, and Joy; nephews, Alex and Hunter (Jessica); and numerous grand-nieces and nephews.
A memorial will take place on October 27, 2023, at 1p.m., at the family gravesite in Saxe, VA.
