Thomas William “Will” Hatcher, 48, passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2023. Will was born on July 22, 1975, in Halifax County, Virginia, the son of Jim Hatcher, John Hatcher (dad), and Debra Kallam Hatcher. He was predeceased by his nephew, Cayden Hatcher, and his sister-in-law, Stacey Hatcher.
Will graduated from Randolph-Henry High School, Class of 1993, worked as a production coordinator at Dupont in Richmond, VA, and enjoyed kayaking and fishing. Will, who was affectionately known as G-pop, treasured every moment he spent with his grandsons, Wattson, Warren, and Anderson (AJ). His love for his family and friends was boundless, and those who had the privilege of being a part of his life will always remember him with love and miss him dearly.
Along with his parents, Will is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Tracy Anthony; his sons, Blake Hatcher (Rebecca), Wyatt Lee Hatcher and William Pacey Hatcher; and his stepsons, Austin Anthony and Tyler Anthony (Michaela); three grandsons, Wattson, Warren, Anderson (A.J.); his siblings, Mark Hatcher (Brandy), Keith Hatcher (Sandy), and Amy Hatcher Reese (Matt); two nieces, Leah and Kailey; four nephews, Jacob, Brody, Jaxson, and Logan; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Visitation will be held in Will’s hometown on Thursday, December 21st, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, Virginia, with funeral services following the visitation. Burial will be held on a later date at the Wallace family cemetery.
