Tillman Berkley Wright Sr.

Tillman Berkley Wright, Sr., age 90, of Randolph, VA, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Born January 13, 1926 in Amelia to Tillman C. and Evelyn M. Wright. He was preceded in death by his siblings Irvin Wright, Mary W. Goodson, Byron Wright, Frances W. Wright and Nancy W. Lloyd. Surviving siblings are Dot W. Brinkley and Margie W. Burton and Buddy Wright. He lived his entire life in Virginia, as a dairy farmer most of his life and also a bricklayer. Tillman was a Marine WW II veteran. He married his sweetheart Doris Mae Bradley on November 16, 1946 and they were together until her passing on May 7, 2012. He is survived by his 4 children, Jeannie Bruce Norris, Jackie Jay Jordan, Janet Ken Martin and Berkley Julia Wright, 7 grandchildren: Chris, David, Michael, Stacie, Randy, Jr, Cissy Kevin Martin, Sarah Jason Woofter, without whom Papa would have not been able to stay at his home until his passing. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2016 in the Amelia Veterans Cemetery, Amelia, VA. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is serving the family.
